This week I visited Clothes Show Live in association with Suzuki which took place at the NEC Birmingham celebrating fashion at its finest. It was a super busy day packed with fashionistas of all shapes and sizes eager to purchase the latest fashion items and watch a spectacular fashion show.
The five day event featured catwalk shows, designer guests, celebrities, makeovers, champagne bars, hundreds of fashion and beauty brands to shop from, the spectacular 5,500 seat Fashion Theatre performance showcasing the best of British design and, new for this year, Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model Live.
Fronting this year’s show was British model Daisy Lowe, star of campaigns for Chanel, Vivienne Westwood and Topshop. Daisy modelled in each performance in the Suzuki Fashion Theatre which this year was presented by stylist to the stars Grace Woodward and Brit fashion designer of the moment, Henry Holland. The UK’s hottest boyband JLS performed a series of live DJ sets with Marvin spinning the tunes as Aston, Oritse and JB expertly get the crowd going with a high energy mix of RnB and pop.
Zara Martin, DJ, model and star of Sky Living’s Show Me Your Wardrobe was the host of the Diet Coke Image Catwalk in association with Company magazine showcasing Autumn/Winter High Street collections, final year collections from fashion students as well as pieces from designers of the future.
Inspiring those who want a career in fashion, the Style Studio also hosted talks by some of the country’s leading stylists and industry experts, workshops and career seminars on all things fashion related, as well as Q & A sessions with people in the know, including designer Mark Fast, singer/songwriter and lover of ethical fashion VV Brown, Zainab Vandu-Chikolo, winner of Sky Living’s Styled to Rock, and fashion expert Caryn Franklin.
Singer and TV presenter Peter Andre and reality TV stars Amy Childs and Gemma Collins also made appearances at the 5 day event to showcase their latest collections, whilst Sam Faiers introduced her new book and Lauren Goodger hosted a stand for her beauty brand Lauren’s Way.
